Pandora Helps You Find Music

Posted by John on October 23rd, 2005

I just found my new favorite music site. Pandora helps you find music that is similar to a musician or individual song and outputs the results as a streaming radio station. I’ve just started playing with it, but am already hooked. It seems that they have a pretty good library as well, even though I couldn’t find any Joshua Radin. They even give you 10 hours free. After that, it’s definitely worth $36/year.

As much as I usually resist JT’s internet findings, this is pretty much tremendous. Lots of music to discover, easy to tell the system what you like and what you don’t from what it plays.

Even better, beyond the 10 free hours, there is now an option to continue listening for free, but it’s ad supported. For the week or two since the ad-supported option has started, though, there’s not yet been any ads! They’ll come, for sure, but for now you can try it with pretty much all features for free. Sweet stuff.

Who was complaining about updating?

ME! I’ve been busy. But I’ll get around to it.
