This site is held together by Wordpress, a little duct tape, and a whole bunch of plugins. I’ve also listed the software I used to create this site as well as some Firefox extensions I find extrememly helpful.

Firefox Extensions

• Aardvark is one of my favorite extensions for Firefox. It let’s you view information about any element on a page just by moving the mouse above it. It lets you quicly see an elements HTML element and class or ID if they apply.
• AutoMarks lets you use autocomplete with your bookmarks. Note: Doesn’t seem to work with FF 1.04
• Colorzila is a nice extension that adds a color eyedropper, colorpicker, page zoom, and lots more.
• Forecast has nothing to do with web development or this blog. I just like it. It gets weather information for your area and displays it by your preferences.
• HTML Validator for Firefox and Mozilla is a Mozilla extension that adds a HTML validator within Firefox and Mozilla. It sits in the status bar as an icon and displays the total number of warnings and errors for a particular page. It uses Tidy.
• JavaScript Debugger adds JavaScript debugging capabilities. Very usefull if you do a lot of JavaScript.
• LiveHTTPHeaders works with the Web Developer Extension to add information about HTTP headers.
• MeasureIt lets you draw a ruler accross any page to measure width, height, and alignment.
• miniT adds tab dragging to Firefox. Wonderful. Why this isn’t included as a standard feature is beyond me.
• Resizable Textarea is a fantastic extension that lets you resize any textarea. I’m using it right now to modify this page. I only witsh it would remember what size I like the textarea.
• Super TabAndGo

is a very nice extension that lets you drag any URI to a blank section of the current page to open the URI in a new tab.

• Tab Clicking Options lets you select various actions when clicking on tabs.
• Web Developer Extension adds a menu and a toolbar to the browser with various web developer tools. This extension adds many CSS, form, validation, and general information tools.

Other Handy Tools

• Gmail Notifier tells you when you have new Gmail. Now you don’t have to keep checking it!
• SlideShowPro is a Flash MX 2004 utility for creating slideshows on the web. Note: I haven’t tried it yet, but will shortly.
