Nathaniel said after going to Little Lambs at church, “I learned that the disciples threw Joseph in the hole.”

After firmly telling Nathaniel not to hit his brother (Again!) I asked him to tell me what I just told him. He replied, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed!” Where did he get that?????

Yesterday Simon (now a whopping 16 months old) decided he was done with the high chair. He got a place mat, put it on the table, pointed to himself, pointed to the chair and grunted for assistance. Where’s my baby? He’s growing up so fast!

So, I am really intending to be computer savvy and up to date on the way high-tech people do things! Unfortunately, this comes with some challenges. But, I will not give up! I now know how to log in and I think I will try doing photo without John’s help.

Well, I just checked out some of my friend’s and family blogs and I am inspired to get going. Well, the boys are growing like weeds. Nathaniel is going to be 3 yrs. old on Thanksgiving. Simon is now 15 months. It’s amazing how children start wresting, chasing and competing at such early ages. They do a little fussing, but overall they are crazy about each other.

Lovin’ my Boys!

I have been busy adjusting to my new life with 2 boys and needless to say have been a little busy to keep up with my blog. But, I felt it was about time to write again. Our oldest son is now very fond of his little brother. He just can’t get enough of him and if anything, I have to monitor the hugs to make sure they do not smother the baby. We have been busy taking walks and I am actually trying to get a little running in too. We spend time playing with neighbors and other friends. We are working on getting into a NEW routine. At this point, it is still uncertian. But, I love to play with them both and the hardest thing is making sure my time is balanced between the two of them. Until next time….

I have not had much time these days to write in the blog! We are adjusting well to the new addition to the family. Labor was induced on June 30 and took off. It was an easy labor and delivery. Thank God for the invention of the epidural! I was able to get it pretty much when I wanted it and was only in labor pain for about 45 min. Not too bad! There was a time when we were a little nervous as the baby’s heart rate was dropping with each contraction the nurses kept having me turn from side to side, kept me on oxygen and and put some fluild back in me to “give the baby more cushion.” They were concerned that there was an issue with the cord. As they were putting and internal monitor on the baby they checked me and then the nursed seemed puzzled. She said, “I feel nothing.” I’m thinking to myself, what do you mean you feel nothing??? Well, the baby was there and I was ready to push. One practice push and the 4 nurses who were monitoring me told me to stop right away. My doctor was paged. 1 1/2 pushes later our little boy was born! He was a healthy 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long born at 8:53 PM. The reason for the dropping heart rate was that the cord was around his neck, but it was quickly removed and he was doing just fine. Big brother had some trouble adjusting at first. He was pretty mad at me and would not even come to me. However, he is doing much better now. He loves his new brother and likes to rub his head and I think he has forgiven me too!

Yes, it’s been quite around here. And yes, that means I have another child. In fact, I have another son! Mom and baby are doing great.

One more day of being pregnant! OK, so my friend Amy Frazier told me about this website where you can design yourself. Here I am! If you want to try it, check out this link www.designhergals.com. So, basically this is how it is with me…I’ve got a major sweet tooth but I am a crazy walker everyday with my little guy in the stroller. Hopefully, I won’t have a 10 pound baby! The big debate for tonight is cake or ice cream? John and I actually never eat desert on a normal basis, but even he has fallen for the sweets! We are going to have to seriously change this habit in the next weeks if I am ever going to lose this baby weight. I’ve actually managed to gain only 28 pounds with this one surprisingly.

Got Belly?

So yeah, I still have the belly. I was about ready to have this one on Wednesday night, but it was a false alarm. With contractions every 5-7 minutes at home we were pretty sure this was IT! When we got to the hospital they were 4 minutes apart and than just stopped after about 1 hour of wearing a hole in the hospital floors from all the walking. Needless to say it pretty much sucked to have to come home after hearing new little babies crying in their rooms. OK…am I crazy or what? We’re talking about crying babies! But, we really are ready for this new adventure! If he or she does not come by Thursday, I will be induced. So, we will keep this up to date with the latest breaking news!

Ok! For all of those who know me, I know you are shocked beyond belief. John has been trying to get me to blog for over one year now. Here I am!!! I don’t know what the special occassion is. Perhaps, I am feeling figitty and very pregnant! I just figured now might be a good time to figure this out as some of you will want to see photos and hear updates when our new little one arrives. I guess this whole blogging thing just kind of freaked me out. You know you hear about people saying…”oh, did you check out my blog?” I just figured this was for the computer geeks (no offense to any of you!). But, it turns out that it is kind of a fun way to keep up with people and check out what’s going on in thier lives. So, I think this is the first of what may turn into many blogs from me! OK…now be sure you are sitting. I am actually going to try to add a photo of my little darling. HOLD ON!

Unreal! I really can’t believe th is! I am getting so technical. What’s next? Hope you enjoyed my very first blog posting! Is that what you call it???
